Humor, Wit and Pathos: Tales from the Classical Fortepiano

Centered on decade of the 1790’s, Yi-heng Yang performs music by Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven. Included on the program are three sonatas:

Mozart: Sonata K. 576 in D major 

Haydn: Sonata Hob XVI: 31 in E major 

Beethoven: Sonata Op. 31 no. 3 in E-flat 

Dr. Yang performs on her own Mozart era Viennese style fortepiano, a copy of a Gabriel Anton Walter fortepiano by Christopher Clarke. Walter (1752-1826) was known as “the most famous Viennese piano maker of his time.” (The Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians)

PARKING: There is a LAZ parking lot just south of the church. Their website homepage has a clear image of its location. Trinity Episcopal There is also an entrance for the State House garage almost directly across Broad Street from the church. Lastly, on street parking is available.
